The grapes were hand sorted in the vineyard, then fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 8 months, to produce an ‘old world’ style wine made with Kiwi flair. Kaho is the Maori word for ‘barrel’.

  1. 90

Burnished gold lanolin, aged characters, rounded developing broad barrel.

  2. 93

Much better in context. Golden, barrel-fermented style. Creamy and quite forward – it’s more barrel fermented white than fume. Still, ok.

  3. 91

Developed greens, some hay and cumquat. Mealy tones through the palate. Textured and lengthy.
